Manage production

Update

The Production Management Module in FTS Accounting helps businesses control the entire production process from planning and raw material management to execution monitoring and finished goods warehousing. The solution is particularly suitable for businesses involved in make-to-order, make-to-stock production, or a combination of various models.

1. Production Planning Management

  • Allows for the creation of production plans based on sales orders, sales forecasts, or inventory demand.
  • Plans can be established by quarter / month / week / day.
  • The system automatically calculates production capacity based on:
    • Current inventory levels
    • Production line capacity
    • Material & labor standards
    • Order progress
    • Delivery deadlines & lead times

2. Establishing Production Standards (BOM)

3. Creating and Managing Production Orders

  • Automatically converts plans into Production Orders for each production line.
  • Breaks down orders into production stages with corresponding material standards.
  • Tracks status: Released, In Progress, On Hold, Completed, Wastage.
  • Supports daily and per-stage production progress updates.

4. Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

  • Automatically calculates the required raw materials needing to be purchased or issued from inventory for production.
  • Generates material requisition slips for the Purchasing / Warehouse department.
  • Reconciles actual inventory against minimum stock levels.
  • Integrates with the Purchasing module to generate accurate purchase requisitions.

5. Monitoring and Recording Production Results

  • Updates daily / shift production output.
  • Records standard-compliant products, work-in-progress (WIP), defective products, and returned goods.
  • Records quality control information for each product batch.

6. Finished Goods Warehouse Control

  • Generates finished goods receipts.
  • Automatically integrates with the Inventory and Accounting modules to update stock levels and product costs.
  • Compares planned versus actual results to evaluate production efficiency.
